Business loan application checklist.

Have these documents ready and your application moves faster. Programs vary, your TCS advisor will tell you exactly what is required for your loan type.

Business identity and ownership

  • Articles of incorporation or organization
  • EIN letter from the IRS
  • Operating agreement, bylaws, or partnership agreement
  • Ownership cap table (anyone with 20%+ ownership)
  • Driver's license or government ID for each guarantor
  • Texas Sales and Use Tax permit if applicable

Financial statements

  • Last 2 years business tax returns (all schedules)
  • Last 2 years personal tax returns for each 20%+ owner
  • Year-to-date P&L and balance sheet
  • Aging accounts receivable and accounts payable reports
  • Debt schedule with balances, rates, and payment amounts

Bank and cash flow

  • Last 3 to 12 months business bank statements
  • Last 3 months personal bank statements (some programs)
  • Voided check for ACH funding

Collateral and use of funds (when applicable)

  • Equipment quote, invoice, or vendor proposal
  • Real estate purchase contract or refinance payoff
  • Appraisal or broker price opinion
  • Construction budget, plans, and contractor info
  • Invoice samples and customer list (for factoring)

SBA-specific extras

  • SBA Form 1919 (borrower information)
  • SBA Form 413 (personal financial statement)
  • Business plan and projections (for startups or acquisitions)
  • Resumes for owners and key managers
